Position Overview
The Studio Manager is responsible for overseeing daily studio operations, managing studio programs, coordinating the team, and delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
Studio Operations Management
Open and close the studio daily, ensuring the facility is prepared, clean, and secure for classes, events, and daily activities.
Oversee all front desk operations, including checking in students, answering inquiries, and ensuring the front desk remains welcoming, organized, and efficient.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized studio environment, including managing supplies, addressing maintenance needs, and coordinating with vendors as necessary.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, promptly addressing any issues that could compromise the safety or well-being of staff and students.
Develop and implement operational procedures that promote efficiency, support the needs of instructors and students, and enhance the overall studio experience.
Customer Service & Sales
Serve as the primary point of contact for families, delivering a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who enters the studio.
Facilitate the enrollment process by managing trial bookings, answering enrollment questions, guiding families through class options, and setting up tuition accounts.
Develop and implement strategies to achieve enrollment goals by actively promoting classes, following up on trial participants, ensuring successful lead conversions, and guiding each student to find the best fit.
Monitor customer inquiries through phone, email, and social media, responding promptly and professionally to maintain high customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Coordination
Supervise and support the studio staff, including Studio Instructors, Studio Assistants, and part-time studio help.
Work alongside the Studio Coordinator to manage staff schedules, time-off requests and sub needs, and ensure all shifts are covered to provide consistent support for classes and operations.
Program & Event Coordination
Collaborate with the Administrative Team to plan and execute curriculum-based programs and special events, such as recitals, summer camps, workshops, and community gatherings.
Coordinate logistics for events, including setting up spaces, organizing supplies, managing participant check-ins, and communicating with families about event details.
Oversee and execute event setup and breakdown, ensuring all operational details are handled and events run smoothly from start to finish.
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
Oversee studio management software for registration, attendance tracking, and account management.
Ensure accurate and timely management of billing, tuition collection, and payment processing.
Schedule
This is an hourly position requiring the ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs. The role follows standard operating hours but requires availability for nights and weekends as necessary to meet operational demands.
Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree preferred; equivalent experience in arts administration, business, or related fields will be considered.
3-5 years of experience in a customer service, management, or administrative role.
Sales experience or proven ability to meet enrollment and program growth goals.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in studio management software or willingness to learn (training provided).
